Direct FM experience relates to core competencies in the following 11 areas. Lack of competency in all 11 areas does not bar a candidate from passing th e exam, however the exam covers all 11 competencies. 2. Candidate should prepare for the exam. Preparation methods are optional, and there is no required coursework for the CFM exam. The IFMA FM Learning System is a complete study source for CFM exam preparation, but there are other options available. More information can be found at www.fm.training/cfm/prepare.
Note: If a candidate is unsure of eligibility, a review of the application can be requested prior to the candidate investing in exam preparation materials. The candidate should complete the CFM exam application and “save” it rather than submitting. Send an email to [email protected] requesting review, providing the candidate name and IFMA ID#. An email response will be sent to the candidate within a couple of days.
